Dr Hamida Begum Appointed Chair of Gift Foundation

The Trustees of Gift Foundation are pleased to confirm the appointment of Dr Hamida Begum as Chair of Trustees, following a unanimous vote on 30 September 2025.

Dr Hamida has provided steady leadership as Interim Chair during a difficult time after the passing of our beloved Co-Founder and former CEO, Sheikh Fahimul Anam رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ. Her dedication to Gift Foundation’s mission and values has been invaluable.

A GP based in East London, Dr Hamida studied Islamic sciences under Sheikh Fahimul Anam رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ for many years including for an Alimiya Diploma. She joined the Board of Trustees while still a student and now leads Gift Foundation with renewed vitality.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, supporters, and donours for their unwavering support. May Allah (SWT) bless our Trustees in their service to the charity and the wider community.
